Niche edits

Niche edits on aged local and trade sites

Your link goes inside an article that already exists and already covers your topic. We choose the page, agree the wording with you and report the live URL.

  • Links added to existing relevant articles
  • Page and anchor agreed with you first
  • Live URL for every placement

Step 1 of 2

About your campaign

A niche edit, sometimes called a link insertion, adds your link to an article that is already published. The page exists, it covers a related topic and it may already be known to Google. We ask the site owner to place your link in a sentence where it fits, or to add a short supporting sentence of its own.

For local SEO this lets you pick pages about your trade, such as a roof maintenance guide or a furnace buying guide, instead of waiting for a new post to be written. You and we agree the target page, the anchor text and the sentence in the scope before anything is placed.

The tradeoffs are covered below, and the comparison with guest posts goes deeper.

What a good insertion looks like

We use these points to choose pages. Check them on any sample.

  • Same subject

The article is about your trade or a closely related home or business topic.

  • Natural sentence

The link sits in a line that reads as normal, not a bolted-on phrase.

  • Useful target

The page you link to answers what the article suggests the reader wants.

  • Few other links

We aim to avoid pages crowded with outbound links to other sellers.

  • Region where possible

A page with a local tie helps a local business more than a generic one.

  • A page that loads

We check the page is live, readable and not hidden from visitors.

How we place a niche edit

Four steps, each shown to you in writing.

  1. Choose candidate pages

We shortlist existing pages that match your trade and city.

  2. Agree the edit

You approve the page, the anchor text and the planned sentence.

  3. Place the link

We arrange the insertion with the site owner.

  4. Confirm and report

We check the link is live and send the URL.

Niche edit questions

Are niche edits better than new posts?

Neither is better in every case. An edit uses a page that already exists, which can be quicker. A new post gives more control over the text. We can tell you which fits your brief once we know your trade and the sites available.

Can I see the page before the link goes in?

Yes. The sample shows the pages we propose, and you approve the page and the anchor before we arrange the edit. That is part of the written scope, and you should open and check each page yourself before you say yes.

Do you offer niche edits for every trade?

We cover roofing, HVAC, plumbing, construction and remodeling, solar, landscaping, pest control and local legal and medical practices. Supply varies by trade and city, so we say plainly in the sample where fit is thin, rather than filling the order with weak pages.

Will an old page pass more value?

We cannot promise that. Page age is one factor among many and Google does not publish a formula. We choose pages for topic fit and clean history, and any effect depends on your own site, your competitors and your market.

Risks and limits

Buying or exchanging links to influence ranking can go against Google's spam policies on link schemes. Google can devalue those links or take manual action. Insertions on relevant pages, placed with care, reduce the risk and cannot remove it. You decide whether it suits your site.

Edits also depend on site owners, so a page can change later and a link can be removed. We agree replacement or removal terms in writing before an order. We do not promise rankings, traffic or leads.
