Local SEO backlinks are links to a business website from other sites that relate to the same kind of work or the same area. For a roofer in Tampa, a link from a page about storm damage or roof care on a regional home services site says more than a link from a general lifestyle blog.
Google describes local results as based mainly on relevance, distance and prominence, and says prominence includes links and information from across the web. Links are one input. Your Google Business Profile, reviews, citations, on-page content and the competition in your city all count too.

Buying links to influence rankings can go against Google's spam policies on link schemes. Google can devalue links it does not trust, and in some cases it can take manual action against a site. Relevant, carefully checked placements lower that risk. They do not remove it.

How many local SEO backlinks do I need?
There is no standard number. It depends on how many links your competitors have, how strong your site and profile are, and how competitive the city is. We suggest a starting count in the written scope. You can scale up or down once links are live.
Do you place links on sites in my state?
We try to match the region when sites exist for your trade, but not every order can be fully local. A trade article without a place name can still be relevant. The sample tells you which sites are regional and which are topic-only, so you can decide.
Can I choose the anchor text?
You can share preferred anchors and we agree them in the scope. We usually suggest a mix of brand, URL and descriptive phrases, and we advise against repeating the same exact phrase on every link. The final call is yours.
Will the links change my map pack ranking?
We cannot say. Links are one signal, and the map pack also weighs your profile, reviews, location and more. Treat links as one part of a local SEO plan and watch changes over several weeks, not days, with your own tracking.
Is looking at a request free?
Yes. Reviewing a request and sending sample sites is free. You pay nothing until you have read and approved the written scope, and if the fit is poor we will tell you so instead of taking an order we cannot serve well.
